How it works
FFC riders sign up for the event. Each rider is given a profile to promote and collect sponsors.
||Sponsors pledge their support.|
||All you need to do is climb 5000vm over three consecutive days between 04 - 13 Dec 2020.*|
||We reach our goal of raising $20,000 for Petone Central and Koraunui Schools.|
* You can use either a hill or a smart trainer. Can be split into multiple rides. You will need to be a strava member.
Sponsors, you will receive an email with instructions on how to pay your sponsored amount after the FFC cyclist has achieved their goal (email sent middle of December).
Payment will be made be via our Charity's Givealittle page. Donations over $5 are eligible for a NZ charitable giving tax receipt. Taka Trust is a registered charity number CC52630. Any questions, please contact us.
The goal is to raise enough money to fit out Petone Central School and Koraunui School with brand new bikes. To do this we need to raise $20,000. If we raise more then we'll simply buy more bikes & helmets.
About Ride Holidays & FFC
Ride Holidays and FFC have formed a close relationship both on the bike and off. FFC (Fat Fathers Club) represent everything good that cycling offers - great chat, coffee, keeping fit and meeting new people. FFC is a wee bit misleading as not all are fat and not all are fathers. In fact Georgina Clareburt is one of the driving forces behind this current challenge. Many FFC have travelled with RH and in 2022 we have over 50 FFC looking at joining is in Wollongong for the UCI World Championships. In December we will be joining forces to provide bikes to Petone Central and Koraunui Schools. We would love it if you could pledge your support.
Karl Woolcott, Dean Mills and Chris Wood have been successfully organising cycling holidays since 2005 and have helped thousands of lycra-clad Kiwis and Australians cycle all around the world. Ride Holidays' tours are designed with the perfect mix of cycling, eating at fantastic restaurants and cafes as well as exploring the very best of what the location has to offer.
